Wonder Festival Summer 2009 – 1/1 Scale Display Models

wf2009_s_mask01Other stuff that was on display at Wonder Festival were awesome 1/1 scale models from a few series that I love. The thing that really caught my attention, however, was Char’s helmet/mask (which you can see more images of after the jump). Tho, way too pricey.

Unfortunately, there was no news on Date Masamune’s helmet that Marutake Industry are working on. It was previously shown at TAF this past March. I was hoping to hear news of it at Wonfes. /sadface

As part of Mobile Suit Gundam’s 30th anniversary, Char Aznable‘s helmet was on display at the MegaHouse booth.
Pre-orders for this start August 7th and will retail for 31,500yen. Scheduled release date is November 2009. Pretty hefty price but very awesome nonetheless! The mask part and the helmet come separate and it’s wearable!

Next are the 1/1 scale pilot helmets from the Macross movie, “Do You Remember Love” by Yamato. Retail price is 39,800yen
Only a certain number will be made based on the amount of orders that they receive.
They are not meant to be worn or used, display only.
If I remember correctly, these were shown at the Macross Akiba Event this past February.

Here’s a huge Eva that appeared at the blitz hobby magazine booth. I believe it measures one meter tall? Tho, it looks a bit taller than that, orzz. This will retail for a whopping 155,400yen! It looks pretty badass…
