1/8 Sarugaki Hiyori and Nell by AlphaOmega

Aaaaaaah! What’s with all these figure releases for 2010?! I was browsing Hobby Search just now and look what they’ve put up for reservation:

This time we have a double release from AlphaOmega; Sarugaki Hiyori, measuring at a 1/8 scale (21cm), is slated for February 2010 release at 6,300 yen. Next we have Nell, measuring at a 1/8 scale (23cm), will also be coming out in February 2010 for 6,600 yen.

My thoughts on these two figures: Hiyori looks a bit odd to me–I think it’s her face that seems a bit off. Nell, on the other hand, looks fantastic! Might be grabbing these two at a later date after they’re released.

And speaking of figures, HLJ is about to ship my Viral (about time), so I’m excited about that! ( * w*)

Chara Hobby 2009

img_1789796_55860859_20The Chara Hobby 2009 event opened its doors Saturday in Japan and has already come to an end. The event took place in Makuhari Messe and ran throughout the weekend, August 29-30. I’ve been stalking my usual sources for the event since the event started and quite honestly nothing really caught my interest this time around. Yeah, there were a few eye catching figures and very gorgeous ones but not something to make me jizz my pantsu over and make it on my GET list–well maybe a figure or two but that’s it, orz. I also wanted to wait for the second day of the event to post about it in one go in case some new stuff popped up. Very image heavy after the jump.

New Figure Reservations! Sheryl Nome & Gintoki

alphaomega-sherylnome2Although I’m a huge fan of Macross Frontier, I’m not the hugest fan of Sheryl Nome. She annoyed me in the anime most of the time, orz. But that doesn’t mean I won’t try to get my hands on a few Sheryl Nome figures–especially if she’s wearing her Dominatrix Cop Outfit, she looks rather hot in it, I daresay. When it comes to figures, I’m a whore for them, expecially if they are sculpted nicely, and this is such a lovely Sheryl figure that I must have. So maybe I might just pre-order her. Now I only wish MegaHouse would do some nice Macross F. male figures–I’d buy those in a heartbeat!

Sheryl Nome, of Macross Frontier, measures at a scale of 1/8 (21cm). She’s scheduled to be released in August 2009. Retailing at 6,800yen. More pics of Sheryl over at Amiami. She’s available for pre-order over at Hobby Search.

megahouse-gintoki2-1Now here’s a little problem, orz, MegaHouse has a new release from their latest G.E.M. lineup (which is geared towards female customers, btw), Sakata Gintoki! He measures at a scale of 1/8 (24.5cm), and will be released this August 2009. Retailing at 6,600yen. More pics of Gintoki over at Amiami. Gintoki also up for pre-order over at Hobby Search. I think I’ll wait for HLJ to put him up.

He looks fabulous! I’m definintely pre-ordering him. It’s funny tho, when I got my MegaHouse Zero/Lelouch in the mail a few days ago I was thinking what figure will they release next for their G.E.M. lineup, and ohoho, IT’S GINTOKI!

It seems the G.E.M. lineup will be good for those who collect male figures.

But anyway, the ‘little problem‘, I’d rather get my hands on Gintoki than Sheryl. Not sure if I can afford to buy both as I have other pre-orders that’ll be filled by July/August. So I’m in a pinch Σ(゜д゜;) WAT! Knowing me tho, I’ll end up getting Sheryl in the end, somehow, lolol.

more Code Geass figure ranting

I don’t think I’ll stop talking about these two figures until I have them both in my hands and do a nice review on them, orz. Moeyo posted some pics of the new promo poster ads for the upcoming figures of Villetta Nu (by Alpha x Omega) and Lelouch/Zero (by MegaHouse). The figure will star in MegaHouse’s new line-up series named G.E.M (much like their P.O.P series, etc). And the best news yet? G.E.M is geared towards female customers. HELL YES. He will also be on display at the upcoming Mega Hobby Expo event on Febuary 11th, 2009.

A release date and price have also been revealed. Scheduled release date will be April 2009 and he will retail at 7,980yen. Info on Alpha x Omega’s Villetta Nu was announced a while back, so not really going to talk about her today, lol.

Will be stalking HobbyLink Japan to put in my pre-order for him. He’ll be taking a huge chunk out of my wallet when April comes around. (T A T);; But I’m pretty sure he’ll be totally worth it!

Alpha x Omega Villetta Nu

alphaxomega-villettanuUHM. DO FUCKING WANT. The colored version for Alpha x Omega’s Villetta Nu is finally out. SHE’S STUNNING. (T A T)!! It’s too bad, I was expecting news on the colored version for MegaHouse’s Lelouch/Zero, but none so far in this months issue of Hobby Japan magazine.

This 1/8 scale Villetta Nu figure is scheduled for release in April 2009, retailing at a price of 6,615yen. Now, excuse me as I continue to gawk at Villetta’s curvaceous figure and arse…

MegaHouse’s Zero and Alpha x Omega’s Villetta Nu

zerofigOHMYGOD. FINALLY. I AM SO EXCITED. From the latest Hobby Japan & scans via figure/GK, more news on the highly awaited Lelouch/Zero figure is out! (well, highly awaited on my part, that is!). I’ve been anxiously waiting more news on this figure since I last saw a preview of it from the last Hobby Japan magazine. I remember telling a fellow friend of mine back then how much I wanted this certain sculpt of Zero to be made into PVC (taken at WONFES 2008). The sculpt and pvc version are the same, but looks like they added extra stuff on the pvc version.

Anyway, this upcoming 1/8 scale figure of ‘Zero’ from Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 is by MegaHouse. The figure stands at 24.5cm in height (that is pretty big). Release date and price still undecided. Can’t wait to see the colored version!

Looking at the prototype, this is by far the most amazing figure of Zero to date (besides the Zero action doll by projectBM!). The figure comes with extra accessories (like the belt and sword). The cape is removable and the head is detachable so you can replace it with the helmet. It also looks like his left hand is movable and/or replaceable, since it extends and bends as you can see in the image below.
